Yes!  There are affordable marina's on Siesta Key.  Below is a short video of Turtle Marina on the south end of Siesta Key.  The beach is a 100 yard stroll from this marina and a left turn will get you miles of beach walking along Siesta Key and the attached Casey Key. My Website

I love the water, who doesn't.  There are so many options for waterfront in Sarasota it's hard to know where to begin.  None boater's tend to love the beach while boater's spend time on canals and inlet's that protect their watercraft.  Lakes and ponds are great to look at and some actually have ocean access.  But my favorite (this week) is: The Creek. Where I grew up a creek was a slow, small body of water that was mostly storm runoff.  Not here... My Website

Living by the ocean is wonderful.  Our two year old can spend hours sitting in the surf and chasing sea birds.  Occasionally though, people will indicate that the lot sizes for single family homes by the water tend to be micro in nature. They are right. However, if you are willing to face a drive greater than 15 minutes to the beach, a whole new world opens up.  In fact, you could even find a very large building lot to construct your dream home.
