So I am a bit surprised that up until today, no one has asked me about the best car to drive in the state. Quick side bar: As was common at the time, when my wife and I first moved here (and didn't know each other) our first action was to drive straight to the BMW dealership and purchased a convertible (same model). That's not too surprising, it's almost a requirement for first time residents. However, that is only a great plan if you don't have children or pets over 20 pounds That's not us anymore ;-) So a solid plan is a vehicle that can carry external fuel in the case of storms and evacuation, have all wheel drive (see storms) and have plenty of room if your kid wants to take his best friend and her brothers to pick strawberries.
