Can you go Ice Skating in Florida?
Welcome to Paradise. I know I have said this before but, everything really is better in Florida. Our oceans are warm enough to swim in nearly year round, the boating is unparalleled and like it or not, theme parks are fun at any age. These are just some of the reasons 1,000 people per day move here. And I kind of think the weather doesn't even have to be mentioned. It's perfect every day. But, we are not known for skating. And truth be told, it hasn't been on my radar. As a family, we instill perseverance as out top personality trait and swimming as a core life skill. Should the need present itself in a life challenging situation we want our son to be able to swim long distances and have the grit to get to safety. Since the core skill is swimming we just look for ways to model and build grit. Now I kind of think that ice skating might be the vehicle. I'm thinking young boys could have worse role models then Apollo Ohno.
