Is Easter Too Hot in Florida?

Image
Welcome to Florida As a child in New England I remember shoveling show on Easter one year.  I guess it was a late snow, but still - I was shoveling snow on Easter.  It was probably the day I vowed to live by the beach in a place with palm trees.  And here I am. This year Easter was a bit warm but even dressed up it was nice, no one had to shovel anything and we even managed to sneak onto the golf course so our son could ride his scooter.  All in all a perfect family holiday.  So no, it isn't too hot on Easter - but you might want to sit in the shade for the family pic.... That's right, we don't have basements so you need to limit things you hold on to for no good reason to your garage.  Some folks decide to move that stuff into their garage because it doesn't snow here and they park in the driveway; while some people insist on a third bay in their garage.  Occasionally, I'll meet someone who hates three bay garages because they "look bad". These people haven't seen the new place we are building on Casey Key... New Places for Sale

Why is all New Construction So Boring?

Image
Welcome to Florida. When I first moved to my adopted hometown of Sarasota, I toured all sorts of new places to live.  At the end of my search I was feeling that there was only one design for a house in Florida and the builder's just adjusted square footage to accommodate different size requirements.  Of course, this all occurred when I was just a lad. Things are different now.  Custom and semi-custom homes are being built everywhere.  Roof pools are what's in right now and I just sold a home in a neighborhood with a dedicated toddler splash park!  There are more options that you can imagine - and even some you can't..... How Do I Buy a Condo in Florida if I'm Out of State?

Image
Welcome to Florida. Even today with the advent and expansion of the internet many folks still want to physically tour a property they intend to buy.  I understand that, but sell about 30% of the homes I market to folks they have not step foot in them until the closing or walkthrough, Sometimes the best thing to do is provide a video....
