What's The Best Waterview in Florida?

I'm kind of a snob about about water views.  In fact, my favorite used to be a good night time view to buildings with lights on inside.  I have friends that have to be able to see and hear dolphins and I know plenty of people that just want a nice pond with some interesting wildlife.
Regardless of what you want if a water view, if it is the most import feature as you look for a new home, there is that view available in Florida.  In Sarasota there is one waterway with both manatees and alligators.  They don't like each other and I'm always concerned about what would happen if the alligators get too hungry.  Especially if there are kids around.

One of our newest listings has this ford (pictured above) that is very fun after the rain, but to be perfectly honest; the ford negates any real navigation on the river.  So it's super fun to look at but prevents boating.  I guess that can be considered good and bad.

Since I am a private pilot, I always dreamed of being able to land my plane in the backyard, but not have neighbors like the Travolta family.  That's really not too much to ask, but as I recently found out it's probably better to keep that one to yourself.  Otherwise, you get involved in long conversations about having a seaplane in the backyard and aircraft upkeep expense.

Better to decide on the water view you want and not explain why you like it.   At least that one man's opinion.
