Top Ten Reasons, To Move To Sarasota

Welcome to Florida.

Whether you are a new resident to our state or, have decided that you'd like to live in a more cultured area of the peninsula, you are undoubtedly researching the city of Sarasota.   Although many folks first look at the large cities in the state, that have over two million residents and professional sports teams, Sarasota nearly always tops the list for a final destination for the following top ten reasons.

1. Beaches.  We have the best beach in America (Siesta Beach) with amenities galore, several lifestyle choices and many smaller nearby beaches with similar features and fewer tourists (think Lido Beach).

2. Boating.  If offshore fishing is your thing, the Gulf of Mexico has incredible sport fishing while the Bay offers safe relaxing boating destinations.  Sandbar cocktails were invented here.

3. Shopping.  I'm told that the the new Neiman Marcus is very exciting, but am also interested in Nordstom since I've heard that they put alarms on thier jeans.

4. Culture.  Think Sarasota Symphony, Van Wezel performing arts center as well as the season of sculpture and chalk festival.

5. Ritz Carlton.  I guess they still make cities without a downtown and beachside Ritz Carlton but I'm not sure why you would live in one.

6. Golf.  This should probably be closer to the top of the list, but I'm more of a Bocce guy.  The Ritz, TPC and The Oaks are all nationally renowned but many courses such as my club, Stoneybrook, impresses visitors from all over.

7. The Bridge.  Named for Ringling it is a popular workout, biking and scenic destination.  Even the original skeptics now love it.

8. Lifestyle.  If it's tennis, golf, boating, wildlife, views, fitness trails, oversized balconies, European architecture, you name it - there is a neighborhood here that will satisfy you!

9. Food.  Sure there is a plethora of trendy downtown eateries, but do not overlook the established restaurants that have been impressing the city's elite for decades.

10. Finally, the last (and perhaps the most important reason) to relocate to Sarasota is that we are here.  Come join us.
