When folks are first considering relocating to our state, it sometimes happens on their vacation.  Traveling through paradise they follow a billboard to a new development, have a couple meetings in a mobile office and sign a contract.  Sometimes, especially if they're dealing with a solid builder, a good result is achieved.

But to really find out what is new and available, built by a solid company and ensure a happy outcome - there are a couple of guys you could call to do all the legwork for you and present you with several very good options.


Or, you could follow a billboard off the highway and hope for the best.

Did John Ringling Build Dwarf Houses For The Little People That Worked For Him?

Welcome to Sarasota. New residents will often not notice all that John Ringling did for our city.  I've gone to his church (built with excess circus equipment).  Had closings at the bank he founded and frequently visit the barrier islands he developed.  We all do.  But it wasn't until recently that I saw the homes he reportedly built for the little people in his employ. What Makes You The Happiest in Florida?

Welcome to paradise. The reasons for moving to Florida are about as varied as the people who move here.  But when talking to new residents, the weather is normally a factor even if it's not the biggest one.  I knew I was going to end up here when I was 10 years old and shoveling snow in mid-April.  That's not the life I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I had lots of great friends where I grew up and I'm a history nerd so being born in Wollaston (modern day Boston) was a point of pride to me.  Even though Wollaston was named after a pirate who was generally considered an undesirable.  But, seriously how many people do you know who grew up in a town named for a pirate?  There really aren't too many of us.
