Where Is Nokomis Beach?

Welcome to Sarasota.

As a new comer to Sarasota, you are probably very familiar with Siesta Key Beach and have probably ventured out to Lido Beach and maybe even Longboat.  But if you're like most people it may take a year or two to discover Nokomis Beach.

This beach is 12 minutes from my driveway and one of the absolute unspoiled gems in Sarasota County.   It's not crowded, is strikingly undeveloped and has some of the brightest water on the Suncoast.  I normally recommend folks take the Albee Road bridge to Casey Key and look for parking.  There is usually plenty, just don't tell anyone you heard about this beach from me, us locals are trying to keep it quiet! ;-)
